What does it mean to have one of coveted the First 500 Tickets?

  • You get discounted access to all three days of the event at no extra price;
  • You receive one extra spectator pass with your purchase;
  • You will get a special Mopar Bag with official Mopar gear and items that are not available for purchase at the show, including First 500 decals, cups, and other sponsor related items

What does a vehicle registration ticket cover?

  • This allows you to bring your vehicle into the infield on event day at Texas Motor Speedway.
  • If you have a First 500 Ticket (shown on your Eventbrite receipt), you will receive one extra pass for entry.  If there is more than one person coming with you, they will each need their own spectator ticket for entry.
  • If you do not have a First 500 Ticket, and you are bringing others with you, each of them will need to purchase a spectator ticket before entering the venue.
  • You will need a vehicle registration ticket to participate in the Showdown Car Show, or the Laps for Vets features.

Can you explain the Laps for Vets Ticket and participation process?

  • Before you can participate in the Laps for Vets feature, you MUST have purchased a Vehicle Registration Ticket.
  • When you pick up your registration packet, the driver of the vehicle must sign a waiver, and then WAM Staff will put a purple wristband on your wrist.  Once you line up to take your lap, TMS staff will cut it off.
  • Once you get to the track, you MUST participate in the drivers meeting before you go on the track.  No exceptions.
  • If you purchased more than one lap, you will receive multiple purple wristbands. Each time you take a lap, TMS Staff will cut one off your wrist.
  • You cannot pick up someone else’s ticket for them.  We cannot issue the wristband without having the waiver signed by the driver.
  • If you transfer your ticket another person, that has to be done within 48 hours of the event kickoff and they must have a registered vehicle for the show.
  • Email driver updates or ticket changes to info@wamshow.com

Can someone ride with me on the track while I take my laps?

  • Yes, you can have passengers as long as they are old enough to be properly buckled into the seatbelt without having to use a car seat, or booster seat.
  • Note only the DRIVER will be issued a purple wrist band.

What is the Showdown Car Show Ticket?

  • This means you have already purchased your vehicle registration ticket, and you would like for your car to be judged for a chance to take home one of WAM Show’s coveted “Best Of,” or “Top 100” Awards.
  • If you do not have a Showdown ticket, your vehicle will not be judged.
  • You will receive special parking pass to be parked in a specially reserved area of the track.
  • Please remember that if your car is being judged AND you have Laps for Vets tickets, make sure your vehicle has been judged before you take your laps.

What do I need to purchase if I want to compete in the Burnout Competition?

  • Like other features, you will need to have purchased one of the vehicle registrations discussed above AND a Burnout Ticket.
  • You will proceed to the burnout pit located in the South Paddock (see map) at your assigned time to line up and get ready!

How is the Autocross set up, and do I need a ticket?

  • No extra ticket purchase!
  • If you want to ride in a Viper or Challenger driven by professional drivers, just go line up, sign the waiver and put that helmet on!
  • If you want to take your Mopar on the autocross track, you just line up with your car (follow indications), sign the waiver. Make sure you bring your OWN HELMET, BFGoodrich tires may not have extra available for rent.

Do I need a Spectator Ticket?

  • If you purchased a vehicle registration, you do not need a separate spectator ticket.
  • If you are riding in with someone, or if you are walking in, you will need to purchase a spectator ticket.
  • Anyone over 6 years old needs a wristband.  You can purchase it at the gate (which we do not recommend because the lines are long, and you will not be able to ride into the venue without it.
  • We recommend purchasing ALL the tickets you need prior to event day so that you can pick everything up at once at the Registration area.

Do I need a Ticket for Sunday’s Cruise?

  • No, but you must have registered and attended the main event on Saturday.  Just come line up at the TMS parking lot in the designated area, and follow the leader!

Thank you for your cooperation.  We look forward to making this event amazing!  If you still have questions, please contact us here contact us, or message the WAM Show facebook page.
